Genuine question -
Has anyone seen any good porn recently? Can you recommend some titles?
I'm a bit out of touch with pornland, despite seeing a load of queer/alternative stuff over at the Berlin Porn Film Fest. For various reasons I wanna know more about it all, but am mostly stuck in an Inside Flesh/Erika Lust obsession (both excellent adult film makers)
Does anyone even watch porn movies anymore? Or is it all free online clips....

so I finally managed to get back into employment by finding a job int he last few weeks of 2009, meaning the New Year got off to an excellent, if exhausting, start.
The new job is fun and just the right amount of challenging, everyone in the office is lovely (Well, everyone i have to deal with anyway) and oh god, it feels good to be using my brain and not having to panic about money and all of that.
And along with that, everything else seems to be falling into place. My lovelife is incredible - I'm happier than I ever imagined possible with a guy who I never would have expected to connect like this with. Interesting conversations are taking place about oppurtunities for Trauma Unit (I really need to start seriously blogging on the Traumatised site) and yeah, things feel fun and positive and exciting in like, 75% of my life.
How sickening really. Where did my cynicism go?
Right now I'm getting ready to go to The Intrepid Fox for post work drinks with some of the other awesome people in the office (we're based right near the Fox) and then heading to see Henry Fuckin' Rollins on his latest spoken word tour. God I love him.
I'm in the midst of my usual monthly dilemma regarding going to Fangtasia at the Resistance Gallery tonight. There's good friends, good music and good acts, but there's also tyhe fact I spend far too much time in the Gallery as it is and also, well, ugh... a decent chunk of personal stress & drama. Maybe I'm exaggerating the negatives a bit... who knows. It just seems a bit overwhelming at the moment.
the highlight of my working day was recieving a job application for a Trainee Sports Coach that said 'I LOVE TO BE ON MY FEET AND JUMPIN AROUND' more job applications should be that enthusiastic I reckon.

I've been googling in an attempt to work out what the hell has happened here but I'm not getting anywhere, so I thought I'd turn to the lj hive mind for help.
Basically, I'm using iTunes on my Mac, always been fine if not a little annoying.
Few days ago, the vast majority of my library just disappeared out of iTunes. The music is still on my harddrive but only about 20/30 tracks are appearing in iTunes.
If anyone has any idea why this has happened or how I can fix it, please let me know. It's fucking annoying.
I'm thinking my only option is to go through and 'Add To Library' with everything again, but that will be tedious, there must be an easier way right?
*sigh*
In other news, getting up early on Saturdays and being productive is awesome. |

tranSfera by Suka Off - exhibition & performance
The goal of tranSfera is to search for non-verbal forms of communication between those in an intimate relationship.
tranSfera is a hybrid work which installed as an audio-visual exhibit, involves live performance utilising real-time video and sonic components.
\"We alter the perceived image of body, referring to the modern information chaos and the manipulation of reality performed by the media and their technologies.\"
Piotr Wegrzynski and Sylvia Lajbig deal directly with both physical/emotional/sexual and gender aspects of intimacy and digital mediations, here conceptualised as \"transfers\" or exchanges between the two performers.
They use old gramophone to \"read\" the sound of their skin, tape recorders/microphones/speakers to record/play/consume each others voices, video cameras/projectors to capture and exchange their faces and sexual attributes.
It all happens in a very clean and simple space, The performers are sited in the performance space in such a manner that their actions can be observed closely by audience invited to walk around them.
Thursday 4th September

Opening night - 6 till 12, live performance of tranSfera at 10.
Exhibition runs till Sunday 28th September 2008 viewing 6pm till 8pm daily.

If all goes to plan I'll be interviewing the fantastic cabaret performer Lazlo Pearlman next week.
Now trying to think of interesting and non-cliché questions to ask a multi-talented ftm performer, questions that a gay porn-loving readership would be interested in too. It's not easy.
Suggestions welcome!
Also, according to the store in the States, my shiny new BIRTHDAY SKATES will arrive next week. Oh fuck yes. |

So, tonight I'll be doing my first ever solo performance at TG, after having worked with others on shows there for a few years.
Awesome.
But scary.
Erm, everything is manic preperation and pre-show nerves right now but I just wanted to post the showtimes for those who are coming along
